Classic Hex Hector! / 5
This is definetly one of Hex Hector's best remixes ever and he produced it together with Dezrok, hence a slight similarity to other remixes they've done, such as Melanie C - I Turn To You, Da Buzz - Let Me Love You and Rhona - Satisfied to mention some. It's the same thumping beat, fierce synth work and deep bassline that never fails to blow me away and Hex just seems to turn everything he touches into gold when he works with Dezrok on remixes. This remix EP has two radio edits and one Main Club Mix of Breathe by Hex and Dezrok and they're all nothing short of fantastic. They fit the song perfectly and eventhough the song is about five or six years old, these remixes still sound as hot today as they did back then. Timeless work from Hex Hector, a true classic.
The other songs on this EP are nice as well, you have pop remixes of This Kiss , The Way You Love Me and the title track Breathe respectively and they don't sound that different from the originals. Still nice edits great for mainstream radio play. I personally prefer the Love To Infinity remixes of The Way You Love Me and it would make it even more of a remix EP if they were included on here but on the other hand, it's nice with a bit of variety. Never Gonna Be Your Lady is a nice song with influences of jazz and soul and it's about Faith telling a guy that she never can be his lady cos he's cheating on his wife. A funny twist on the "girl-rejects-boy"-type of lyrics that has been done thousands of times before.
All in all, this is a great EP that has a limited availability today, but if you are lucky enough to find it, you won't regret purchasing it. A true collector's item for Hex Hector fans as well as fans of Faith Hill and music fans in general.
Song "Love Child"
Tenement slum
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ah
You think that I don't feel love
But what I feel for you is real love
In other's eyes I see reflected
A hurt, scorned and rejected
Love child, never meant to be
Love child, born in poverty
Love child, never meant to be
Love child, take a look at me
I started my life in an old, cold run down tenement slum
My father left
He never even married mom
I shared the guilt my mama knew
So afraid that others knew I had no name
This love we're contemplating
Is worth the pain of waiting
We'll only end up hating
The child we maybe creating
Love child, never meant to be
Love child, scorned by society
Love child, always second best
Love child, different from the rest
Hold on
Hold on (Ooooooohhh)
I started school, in a worn, torn,
Dress that somebody threw out
I knew the way it felt, to always live in doubt
To be without the simple things
So afraid my friends would see the guilt in me
Don't think that I don't need you
Don't think I don't wanna please you
No child of mine 'll be bearing
The name of shame I've been wearing
Love child, never quite as good
Afraid
Ashamed
Misunderstood
But I'll always love you
I'll always love you
I'll always love you
I'll always love you
I'll always love you
I'll always love you
You-ooo-ooo
You-ooo-ooo
You-ooo-ooo

Ashlee Simpson blew chilly. The American Idols steamed up the town. In between came the dependables -- Hootie & The Blowfish, Bow Wow, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Styx, Rick Springfield, The Go-Go's. And let's not ignore the other giant -- Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.
Aural Fixations - Strait's 29th album is one of his best (East Valley Tribune)
George Strait is not known in country music circles as "King George" for nothing. In 1981, back when cowboys looked like John Travolta and country music sounded - courtesy of artists such as Kenny Rogers - like smooth adult contemporary pop, Strait, an unassuming 29-year-old Texas rancher and honkytonk singer, came out with a debut album, "Strait Country," that delivered an assortment of American

Clay Aiken?s sophomore CD, A Thousand Different Ways debuted last week and it?s already hit the number two spot on the top forties charts. That?s probably due to the fact that Aiken fans bought it on pre-sale through Amazon without even hearing it.
